Word of the Day: cuando estás conmigo
Translation: when you are with me
Pronunciation: kwan-doh es-stahss cone-me-go

Again from “Dos Gardenias” the line, “cuando estás conmigo” which has three, count ‘em three, helpful frases (frah-sezs = phrases) “when,” “you are,” and “with me.” You should find ways to work one or all of these into your conversations today even if you are speaking to a Gringo.

For instance, “Come to the cafeteria conmigo.” Chances are they’ll understand it with even knowing it. If they say “What?” you get to translate. It’ll stick in your memory better. Most gringos are in a constant state of “What?” these days so they don’t care.
